Practice Hub (NEW)
🇬🇧 Step-by-Step: Drill Any Single Task Type On Demand
① The Practice Hub at /speak/practice is the new way to drill ANY single PTE 2026 or TOEFL 2026 speaking task type without committing to a full set. ② The launcher shows 9 task-type cards: 7 PTE (Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, Answer Short Q, Respond to a Situation, Summarize Group Discussion) plus 2 TOEFL items (Listen & Repeat, Take an Interview). Filter by exam family (PTE / TOEFL / All) at the top. ③ Tap a card to open the start sheet — pick a difficulty (Easy / Medium / Hard) and choose your feedback depth: Quick check OR Deep dive. ④ Quick check (~30 sec, ~$0.01): instant score + ONE actionable tip + the band you would have hit. Perfect for rapid drilling. Headline rubric only. ⑤ Deep dive (~60-90 sec, ~$0.05): the full world-class analysis pipeline — sentence-level corrections, problem-phoneme mapping, fluency metrics, Band-9 rewrite, exemplar TTS audio, and bespoke task-specific deep-dive sections. Reserve for sessions where you actually want to study. ⑥ Recommended for you: the launcher highlights your weakest task type (computed from your last 30 sessions) so you can target what actually needs work. ⑦ "Run deep dive" button on any Quick result upgrades that exact attempt to a deep-dive analysis without re-recording — your transcript and audio are reused. ⑧ Practice Hub sessions count toward your speaking streak and XP just like full-set sessions, with per-task XP curves so longer tasks (SGD, Re-tell Lecture) reward more than shorter ones (Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence). ⑨ Tip: do 3-5 Quick-check drills of your weakest task type each day, and run ONE Deep-dive per week on the same task to track real progress. Use /speak/compare to compare any two attempts of the same task.
