Mock Test
🇬🇧 Step-by-Step: Full-Length IELTS / TOEFL / PTE Reading Simulation
① Mock Test (/reading/mock) runs a full-length, real-conditions simulation of the reading section of IELTS Academic, IELTS General, TOEFL iBT 2026, or PTE Academic. ② Setup screen — pick the exam, your CEF level, and (optionally) up to 3 topics you want represented across the passages. Topics are seeded into the AI so the test feels personalised. ③ Tap Start. The system generates 3-5 passages back-to-back (one per slot) with the official question-type mix for that exam. A progress bar shows generation status — it takes 2-3 minutes for the full set. ④ Once all passages are ready, the global exam timer starts. The whole set must be completed inside the official time budget (e.g. IELTS Academic: 60 minutes for 3 passages). ⑤ Inside the runner: a progress dotrail at the top shows passage 1 of N, current passage scroll progress, and the global countdown. ⑥ You can move between passages freely until the global timer hits zero — every passage auto-submits with whatever answers you have. ⑦ The Report screen aggregates everything: estimated band score (IELTS) or scaled score (TOEFL / PTE), per-passage accuracy, per-question-type accuracy, time-spent-per-passage, and a list of weak spots to drill next. ⑧ Mock attempts feed the Mock-Exam Challenges system: completing a mock unlocks "Mock-test rookie" / "Mock-test regular" / "Mock-test marathoner" badges + XP awards. ⑨ Tip: do ONE full mock per week, never two in a day. The fatigue you feel during a real exam is the most useful signal a mock can give you — protect that signal by spacing them out.
